- - - - - - - - - - - - | Period 18th century wrought iron gooseneck andirons c1750 Item # 6478 Click HERE to inquire about this item 18th century wrought iron gooseneck andirons c1750. This is a very early pair of American gooseneck andirons. Most gooseneck andirons we see were made much later, and do not have the heavy tapered fire dogs or the graceful tapered hand forged shafts that this pair has. These andirons are also an unsually large size, measuring 20 inches high by 15 and one half inches deep and 11 and one half inches wide. The penny feet are also in excellent condition. So often, penny feet on early iron andirons have been burned off from use.
