David Kintzler Bronze Bird Sculpture. "Sculptor David Kintzler" This bronze bird sculpture crafted by David Kintzler, 1981, measures 16 inches high overall, has a 9 inch wingspan, and measures 10 inches from beak to tail. The base measures 5 inches by 5 inches by 2 inches high. David Kintzler, sculptor, born 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio. Education: B.F.A. Sculpture, Kent State University. M.A. Painting, Kent State University. M.F.A. Sculpture, Syracuse University. Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan, ME. Apprentice Stone Carver, Johnston Monument Works, Newburgh, NY. Taught sculpture at Syracuse University, Kansas City Art Institute, Housatonic Community College, Bpt. CT (Professor Emeritus). Commissions: Igor Sikorsky Lifesize Bronze Portrait, in Sikorsky Plant's Main Lobby. Benny Goodman, Eubie Blake, Dizzy Gillespi. Works in numerous private collections.
